One of the better direct to DVD movies Bruce Willis has done because he actually tries but his performance isn’t great in a very standard crime thriller

I enjoy straight-to-video fare when there is nothing grade-A to watch. The fact that this has actors I recognize makes me both sad but also eager because I loved them back when they were uber-famous. Bruce Willis, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Claire Forlani, Daniel Bernhardt, Torrie Wilson, etc. Jack is low level mercenary/thief who is enjoying his life in Florida, getting his life on the straight and narrow but an old flame back when he was young and dumb comes back after she screws up a job betraying a powerful mobster. With a crew at his disposal, he helps out his old flame only to realize she has betrayed him, as well as leaving him at the mercy of the mobster. This was not great, but it had some fun moments. Like a low-rent Oceans 11 with hilarity as well as danger. I still find it hard to believe that such icons from yesteryears came together to do straight-to-video flair. In their heyday, some of these men and women could have made a blockbuster.

A stupid story and bad acting. A perfect film for Bruce Willis. For once he is not so much worse than the other "actors".

Not going to lie, this is a bad cliche filled movie. Not surprising since these days those are the only type that Bruce Willis plays in. At least this one is coherent and entertaining enough to hold your attention. So grading Bruce Willis on the curve it's worth 1 watch.

So it starts with a illegal deal of some sort, then some really long opening credits, then the villain reveal, and then... dolphins... and now we have a pregnant woman shooting at people from a speed boat. I don't use the phrase and I've never seen a movie that literally made me think ‘it's so bad that it's good' but this did that. On second thought, it's not good, it's all bad. It felt like a 90 minute preview of what could have been a good action movie.

One of biggest examples of stunt casting you'll ever see. Aside from that, 'Precious Cargo' is poor in almost every area. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is very much the lead actor, Bruce Willis barely features at all; and when he does, it seems he didn't give a toss about this production - I'm not usually one to say an actor is supposedly phoning it in, but Willis in this... oof. Gosselaar, for his part, is average. As are the rest of the cast, yet I kinda liked Jenna B. Kelly's Logan. This attempts action, comedy and romance - none of which pay off unfortunately. The action is OK, though the comedy is extremely forced but not helped by lame dialogue. As for the love story, there is far too much - to quote the film itself - "sappy shit" in this. 100% action was needed. I will say I appreciate that there is at least a male and a female character, both appear a large amount, that don't end up getting together, instead remaining friends. That's unusual with this sorta film. The score is actually alright, too. It also, unexpectedly, includes a blooper reel in the end credits. Improved writing and acting could've made this work, if only on a minorly serviceable level.

Bruce W. is really making his best to do the worst in every new role he takes... sad
