Prey for the Devil

Better call Sam and Dean, it's fun, campy and feels like Evil Dead if it took itself seriously 😏

The story holds together but with most of these movies the plane stalls a bit at the landing.

A typical, predictable horror story that could have been better.

This is a largely forgettable exorcism film that does very little to differentiate itself from the countless other exorcism films. The only really interesting thing to note is that it is probably the most over-the-top with near constant jump scares and body shock. It actually becomes laughable at some times because it invests so much time in cheap thrills and no time on character or even story really. Every spoken line is purely to move us onto the next jump scare or body shock. It’s fast paced so a guilty pleasure but also it’s so shallow and the writing lacks any creativity.

To be honest, I’ve seen the majority of exorcism movies and TV shows, and out of everything I've watched, I can honestly say that "Pray for the Devil" is in my top five scariest films. Most horror movies tend to be very predictable, and you can usually tell what’s going to happen next. However, "Pray for the Devil" really kept me on my toes. It's one of the few movies that genuinely gave me a good fright! The plot was decent, and the scare factor was unreal. My heart was pounding throughout the film, and I’m generally someone who doesn’t get scared by horror movies—I actually enjoy being scared. Overall, I would 100% recommend this movie. I suggest watching it at night, either alone or with just one other person. Trust me, you'll love it! Cons: There should have been more scenes with them conducting exorcisms since the movies about demons and exorcisms. * Don’t believe the “Top Critic” rating that’s just load of bs, they’re rating the movie as non-horror fans. One person actually talked about the movie and horror themed movies then said “why do we need another” they don’t understand the horror movie fanatics like a lot of other people. They can just f right off… * Pray for the Devil Overall rating - 9/10 Fright level - 8.5/10 Plot- 8/10

Filled with many terrific jump scares this story isn't anything we haven't already seen before. I do however enjoy the characters and the ending was very good. Tim Treakle

As a horror movie lover this one was good writing

Not beyond awful but incredibly generic and dull. ‘Prey for the Devil’ is a movie that you forget 90% by the next morning.
