P.S. I Love You
audience Reviews
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI was disappointed for any bad reviews! I loved the story, acting of all rolls. At first I wasn't sure about H. Swank but as the story goes on she was perfect for the role and superb acting. Love G.Butler as well. H. Connick Jr love him he is under rated always! Remember hewas a singer first, then went to acting. He can do anything and a good Christian man! At first I was disappointed Harry wasn't the lead role but then fell in love with G.B. THIS movie was about several things and I felt every stage of grief that she felt! Also I want to go to Ireland now but am amputee in wheelchair so not sure how much accessibility! My son has Asburger Syndrome so Harry did an excellent portrayal! Go Harry Connick Jr,your#1 fan!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThank god RT has elevated the audience scores, this is one of MANY examples where critics do not know what the hell a movie is aiming for. Nobody in this movie was trying to win an award, they acted their parts just fine. I think these reviews are the basis for the episode of the office where they debate Hillary Swank.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAlways coming back to see this movie mainly because of the story. I rarely cry, but when I need to cry because of being sad, or randomly I want to cry not because of being sad, this is the movie. start to end just crying like hell yeah this feels right. I don’t care about the casting, everything is beautifully made. mostly because the story is good and touching. Love it!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis film is so underrated. It is a love story. Maybe it is because it talks of the reality of death and how to cope. I saw this film not long after my husband had passed after his cancer battle so I could relate. This film helped me with my grieving process. I bought my own DVD copy and I must have played it many times. I thought the cast was excellent. I also loved the music. The story is sad, funny, and hopeful. The critics were far too harsh on this film; I do not understand why.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBack to sci-fi. I cried from beginning to end. I think the screenwriter is too good, the foreshadowing of the first paragraph is short and concise (this scene is the best in the whole film), so I started to cry when I watched the second act. When will I be able to write a story like this.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI HATE THE GIRL SO MUCH,LIKE HOW YOU STILL BE ABLE BE COMFORTABLE WITH WILLIAMS AFTER YOU KNOW THAT HE WAS YOUR HUSBAND BESTFRIEND??????!!!
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsRead the book, avoid the film. I read that book in two sittings and it was beautiful and funny and we'll written. I cried so much and it's a book I still love. The film just wrecked the story. It's supposed to be set in Ireland, about Irish childhoods sweethearts, and there's not a bunch of obnoxiously Americans mispronouncing places. Gerard Butler's accent is horrendous, he should've just kept his Scottish accent. Holly never slept with someone else, they missed the entire point of the beautiful story. HATE it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA sweet love story with parts of it set among beautiful landscape. I don't care too much for him, but her performance carries it away.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI cannot for the life of me, fathom out the poor ratings this film has from critics. It is just beautiful. Wonderful sound track, moments of heart wrenching grief and moments of hilarity. It's a stunner.
