(CASTELLANO) Empieza bien. (ENGLISH) It starts off well. A smart, intriguing premise that makes you think you’re about to watch something different. The problem is, that promise fades fast. The film slips into a slow-motion spiral it never escapes. And when something important finally seems about to happen… it doesn’t. Or it takes so long, you stop caring. Visually, it has some nice moments. A few shots are beautifully composed, and you can feel intention behind the camera. But the way the story unfolds doesn't help: flat pacing, barely developed characters, and scenes that feel stretched just to hit feature length. It becomes heavy—really heavy. And not in an atmospheric way, just in a draining one. It’s frustrating, because the idea had potential. What could’ve been a strong reflection on isolation, fear, or survival turns into a string of empty moments that go nowhere. One of those movies you start excited, and end up checking the clock. And not because you're on the edge of your seat.

Fans of post-apocalyptic film should enjoy this. Disaster preparedness folks are also likely to get a big thrill out of it.

How did this get the green light?? It didn't even put a complete story together! How did this movie get a director? Why didn't he just say no! This movie is just a big giant no!

Another movie that feels like it's been constructed by an algorithm rather than actually human whose seen survival movies these last 50 years. Just a series of cliches that feel inevitable and tired. If you're really high you might laugh at this films deep irony

Pretty stupid conclusion to the movie.... if they had stayed at home for a few days everything would worked out with the power coming back, dad would still be alive and granddad would of made it to their house eventually. The farmer wouldn't of got killed and the hill billy kid would still be with his dick father. so only the kid benefits really from the entire escapade. Plus the fact she played a VR game for 5 mins right at the start is completely irrelevant to the synopsis or thumbnail for the film as it's not a part of anything later on. Would if made more sense if there was an all out purge which pushed them to leave the morning after a power outage. I mean who has a power cut and after 12 hours runs for the hills (literally) which FYI has no power either when you could hold up for a few days/week and see if the national guard role in to help or the power comes back on, at least you're in familiar space until things do go sideways then you have to leave. Just a completely unnecessary 98 minutes

I am really baffled by the poor and might I say lackadaisical and arrogant reviews of 0 and 43 from critics and viewers. If I'd come here before watching the movie, I would have never watched it. So, I watched it and became invested early on. The scenery, acting, and thrilling adventure across country held my attention long enough.

If I could give this movie less than one star I would. The premise of the movie is good and it starts off not so bad, but it dives downhill fast! Terrible acting and what ends up being terrible writing. Don't waste your time!

Decent enough story, didn't like the overall plot that much. Would have made a far better TV mini series, could of fit more plot into it and taken us on better journey.

Throughly entertaining and Engrossing. I loved the shifting of genres, and how storyline kept swerving into unforeseen directions throughout its running time. In story structure, it reminded me of a cult film called FREEWAY which was a gritty urban homage to Little Red Riding Hood. Ironically Freeway starred Reece Witherspoon and the protagonist to this film is named Reece.... This as an Adrenaline rush of a film that has this haunting, ethereal tone throughout, and interesting characters on who you want to see succeed in their hero’s journey.

Great watch, want to watch again, and can recommend. I was honestly upset at first (had just watched "Play or Die", don't) and thought it was another escape room movie, then I thought it was going to be another "Ready Player One" (worth checking out), but quickly turns into an apocalyptic / new dystopian movie in a good way. Finally! We get a story from the people that left early enough during a crisis....and it still goes inevitably wrong because of something stupid. To be fair if these sorts of things didn't happen, then we wouldn't have movies at all. The point is that they do an excellent job of giving our character obstacles and developing the adventure around those. They definitely get the intensity right for these scenes, they make for great realistic horror.
