, 78% Audience Score- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsAs a big Cage fan I had to watch this. He's amazing. Special effects are naff blood splatter especially. Not sure why Hollywood keep casting Awkwafina in everything she's seriously annoying. Not enough Cage and Hoult. Too busy trying to push the cop buddy story. yawn
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWhat a DELICIOUSLY BONKERS vampire extravaganza! 🧛♂️✨ FIRST OF ALL, Nicolas "The KING of Camp" Cage as Dracula? SERVING BLOODSUCKER REALNESS like it's an all-you-can-eat buffet! And Nicholas Hoult? Playing that servant role like he's gunning for an Emmy in Codependency! Their chemistry? ELECTRIC! More sparks than a vampire in a tanning bed! ⚡ The violence? DARLING, it's giving "Jackson Pollock but make it HEMOGLOBIN"! We're talking buckets of blood that had me LIVING while people were DYING! The action scenes are serving more DRAMA than my aunt's Facebook status updates! And those special effects? HONEY, they didn't just eat - they left NO CRUMBS! The makeup department said "We're gonna make vampires FASHION again" and BOY DID THEY DELIVER! 💅 The soundtrack? It's like someone threw a party in a haunted house and invited DJ Dracula to spin! PURE PERFECTION! 🎵 Sure, the plot might not be Shakespeare, but who needs complex storytelling when you've got Nic Cage living his BEST undead life?! The moral message sneaking in between the chaos is like finding a pearl in your bloody mary - UNEXPECTED but DELIGHTFUL! This movie is serving CAMP, VAMP, and ABSOLUTELY NO REVAMP needed! It's the kind of gloriously chaotic fun that had me SCREAMING (in a good way) from start to finish! Seven out of ten? More like HEAVEN out of ten for anyone who likes their entertainment with a side of FABULOUS FANGS! 🦇✨
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA ok take on classic horror characters with a lot of room for improvement. The main cast has a good time, Nicolas Cage is fun anyway. There is even a lot of action, but its heavy reliance on CGI splatter jeopardizes any attempt at seriousness and accidentally looks like under-average video game graphics. Also, the major crime family falls extremely flat. With a stronger focus on Renfields human side and a little less dismemberment this could have left a stronger effect.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFunny and lighthearted—that’s what I have to say about this film. The humor and action are excellent, while the rest is somewhat less impressive, but overall, it’s still a good movie.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is the extract film you should watch if even thinking of Nicolas Cage playing Dracula makes you happy. The good thing is even outside of that the cast are very good and, overall a fun, gory, horror comedy. Just feels a little slow at some points which for its runtime isn’t the best.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWas expecting much more from the two main actors. This film did not impress. Barely and jokes. Way too much swearing. Awkwafina Especially seems to require the f word in every other line to be funny.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsDespite Cage giving the best Dracula performance in years, Renfield fails to hit the mark. Portrayed as a comedy horror, the film feels lost in itself, being too serious at times, and way to silly in others. It does not hit that blend of comedy and horror, but rather is a clunky, try hard, not so funny or scary film. It tries to balance that fine line between horror and the ridiculous, but in doing so produces a ludicrous film with no meaty story line, no fleshed out comedy or horror which in turn leaves the audience empty to what was trying to be portrayed.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsOne of the worst movies I had to endure. Nicholas Cage at his worst, before sliding into mediocrity. Only glimmer of acting is from Hoult. Dire beyond imagination.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe main cast do a good job to provide this campy comic take with the charisma it needs.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI am not a Nicholas Cage fan, but I was really hoping to enjoy at least one of his movies. I was hoping this one would be it. Nope. It was really hard for me to actually sit through this whole movie and not groan at the storyline.
