Renner
audience Reviews
, 84% Audience Score- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIt actually had started out to be a decent movie. And toward the end it actually got even better but the very ending absolutely sucked
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsIt's like a really long episode of Black Mirror. Except the entire movie is inside two apartments. Music selection is pretty good.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWow! Renner was a really good film! Frankie's acting was top notch and so was the rest of the cast! I wasn't expecting that ending either! I hope more people see it and review it cause it's definitely worth the watch.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsAbsolute garbage. The only positive thing about this movie is Frankie Muniz, the rest is just trash. Predictable trama, horrible screenplay and writing.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThe idea is decent but the pacing is off and there's some serious ACTING that feels unearned
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI thought this was generally excellent. Muniz played his role perfectly. As did Violett Beane. It's basically a single-set, 3/4 character film, but it never drags the plot or gets boring. In 2025, this is a fresh and very worth-while watch.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 stars"Renner" is a science fiction film set in 2025, featuring Frankie Muniz in the leading role. The plot revolves around his character, who finds himself ensnared in a monotonous existence, relying on his AI to guide him on how to navigate life and ensure his survival. The narrative takes a turn when a young woman enters his world, shaking up his routine and pushing him towards a breaking point. This buildup culminates in a chaotic third act filled with violence, murder, and outrageous antics. However, the journey to that climactic moment feels painfully drawn out. The film is bogged down by excessive dialogue, making it feel tedious and overly long. It’s as if the screenwriter couldn’t grasp the importance of pacing and instead just kept churning out lines. Sadly, I cannot recommend this film. Its heavy dialogue weighs it down, making it a struggle to get through. Based on the reviews I've seen on Rotten Tomatoes, it seems that this sentiment is widely shared. Unfortunately, this movie appears to be a significant disappointment.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starspretty good flick. malcolm plays an agoraphobic nerd who is a tech wizard that is on the verge of greatness, his mother the car tells him what do do 24/7/365 and runs his life. basement boy meets girl and this movie ends exactly the way it should. you'll be satisfied, so watch this film.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsRenner was a cool surprise—Frankie Muniz really sold the role of a lonely tech genius trying to connect with the world. The AI twist was creepy in the best way, and it kept me guessing the whole time. It’s a smaller film, but it pulls you in with its tension and clever ideas. Definitely worth a watch if you like sci-fi with a psychological edge.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI thought the plot moved quickly and kept me in suspense. Great acting by all characters.
