Look I get it about the movie but are they trying to get inspiration from the original book?

Jesse Eisenberg unveiled his excellent abilities in Resistance. I grew up watching and reading about Marcel Marceau but had no idea that he did these things during the war. Great movie and great actors, all.

I give it 5 stars for the ones that died. Critiquing this film any other way for me would be sacrilegious.

Résistance – Widerstand ist eine Tragikomödie von Jonathan Jakubowicz… Die Geschichte erzählt vom französischen Widerstand und ist zugleich eine Filmbiografie über den französischen Pantomimen Marcel Marceau… Die gute Besetzung der Hauptrolle von Jessi Eisenberg ist eindrucksvoll und sein Spiel ist auf einem hohen Niveau. Er ist nicht nur in seinem darstellerischen Vermögen, sondern auch mit seinen künstlerischen Auftritten als zauberhafte Pantomimen ausgezeichnet…

A moving and well-documented film. A hidden gem of cinema.

What the movie fails to mention in it's conclusion is that Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyon, the main antagonist, was subsequently recruited by the American intelligence services after the war. They shielded this war criminal from the French authorities and went on to arrange his escape to Bolivia. Where he lived, as a free man for over thirty years, before he was finally extradited back to France to face justice.

Horrível, horroroso, me faz mal. O filme tem várias inconsistências históricas e furos de roteiro desde seu primeiro minuto. É um insulto contra a inteligência mundial. A criança do início seria pega na hora, não faz sentido os nazistas virarem uma casa inteira menos o quarto que a criança estava ou o protagonista no vagão de trem se salvar falando que o bigode que tinha em seus bolsos era de Charles Chaplin para um oficial de alta patente que era amante da arte e com certeza sabia que a 2 anos Charles Chaplin fez um filme especificamente zombando de Hitler e tanto o ator quanto seus filmes eram praticamente um tabo por toda a Alemanha nazista na época pelo próprio Hitler. Existem muito mais inconsistências, que filme horroroso, qualquer pesquisa meia boca na Wikipedia teria salvado essa coisa. Um filme sobre atrocidades que fizeram com crianças na segunda guerra, mas que nenhuma é simplesmente tocada pelos nazistas. A única coisa que salva é no máximo as atuações e a trilha sonora.
