So good I wish it was in English so I could appreciate the acting/inflection all the more. Stylish, original story (to me) with plenty of wit/humor for a serious premise

Best movie I have seen in a long time. Very funny, does not pull punches on the violence, but the script is very thoughtful and surprising deep. So good.

Very scandanavian, very odd. Violent dark comedy, enjoyable and very different.

Anders Thomas Jensen wrote and directed the Danish comedy thriller. Starring Mads Mikkelsen and more. The film follows a soldier (Mads Mikkelsen) with occupying troops in Afghanistan whose wife is murdered in a train accident that the survivor, who gave up his seat to the victim, believes was a murder. tracks the widower down with his computer guru buddies in order to hack into data and find the identify of the suspicious man who left the train earlier. The film combines family drama, thrills, comedy, and action, with the dramatic transformation of strangers into a family. A good entertainer.

Just watched this excellent movie which combines tragedy with violence and humour. Tarantinoesque? Made Mikkelson is brilliant as always. His relationship with his daughter is complex and poignant.

Such a great film! So funny, so straightforward. The end is a bit wierd, that’s way it won’t get five stars.

A truly rare gem. Complex, funny, tragic, violent, and sweet. A marvel. Don't try to compare this work with any other. Weird, strange, goofy, crazy script. Brilliant.

Critics only liked it because it is foreign and dubbed. They obviously didn't understand it. Gratuitous excessive graphic violence. Not funny. Since when does a "comedy" have so much violence and gore? Spoiler alert: the reason for the revenge turned out to be false so the whole premise for the movie is wrong. The supporting cast is terrible. Hugely overrated. Mads is ok.

A truly memorable and entertaining character based action thriller. Stellar performances across the board, with Mads Mikkelsen ace-ing the lead. Strong screenplay and an excellent visual approach to the material. High recommend.

An action film that takes a fairly standard premise and then runs with it to some really surprising places. By the end you're more moved than thrilled.
