Interesting enough. Are we running out of ideas for IMAX movie subjects?

I think that this train movie is the best one ever! The CP 2816 is such a historical steam locomotive and one of my favourites. I hope the DVD and BLURAY for the movie comes out soon!!

Saw this movie in the Denver IMAX Theatre - we all loved it. Would like to rent for my Canadian friends.

Great film. Surprising it took place in Canada though.

The best IMAX movie I have seen yet. I liked it better then Everest which had held my top spot for the last 10 years. The story behind the building of the railway is amazing and the way they used the maps to show you how it was built was cool. They placed cameras all over the train and tied all the various film segments together to make you feel like you were traveling with them. I was in Victoria, BC over the summer and saw this and went back and saw it a total of 3 times. My wife thinks I am nuts and I agree but I can not wait for the day this comes out on blue ray.

Awesome show. If you're at a Science museum where this is showing, buy a ticket. Great story about the making of the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

One of the better IMAX movies I've seen. Nice to learn about the struggles of billing a railroad through the Rockies.

Beautifully filmed (iMax), very educational, and a gripping story behind it: building a railway across Canada in the late 1800s. But it's a little slow, especially for kids; one of mine (age 4) fell asleep after a few minutes, and the other (age 6) couldn't wait to leave, even though he loves trains. Oh well.

Rocky Mountain Express film is totally awesome. The film takes you on a magical journey with the Canadian Pacific Railwayâ(TM)s #2816 over the Canadian Rockies. Not only do you get great shots of 2816, but the scenery across Canada is breath taking. The route is Canadaâ(TM)s first transcontinental railways. This film is a must-see for all railroad enthusiasts and everyone who wants to experience the beauty and majesty of Godâ(TM)s creation.
