Gran película dramática, tal vez el ritmo lento que maneja en la primer hora no sea para todo el mundo pero al final cuando la historia va cerrando si que vale la pena. Acá las actuaciones son fundamentales para mantener el interés y ambos protagonistas la rompen.

A little slow, too many artsy camera shots for a supposedly brutal action movie, inconsistent tone - even with that still a decent watch.

Eckhart and Thorne are an oddball combo that don't really connect until the last quarter of the film. It's an odd plot build around Eckhart being a fighter that barely makes it through daily life.

AARON ECKHART played the HELL outta this beaten up fighter role. And BELLA THORNE can git it. Whenever. Tattooes on dem long, nice size Thigh Meats. Meawhile, in the end I guess this was just a BACKWOODS/BACKWARDS kinda ROCKY. Dem BRASS KNUCKLES tho. I read the book by the same guy who wrote the script: MICHAEL FARRIS SMITH. Trope: The book was better. But thats not to say the flick was horrible. It was decent. ECHART channeling his Inner, 1800s Bare Knuckler pioneer, JOHN L. SULLIVAN. Now, it will be interesting to see how SMITH develops from here. His other movie he scripted also based off his other book, DESPERATION ROAD, wasnt as good as this one. But def also showed promise.

(Mauro Lanari) I don't know what forced or convinced Eckhart to repudiate blockbusters from Covid onwards. In this case the plot is already in the title of the novel from which the film is based, "The Fighter", and when it is not a hallucinatory ride from the subjective point of view of Jack "Butcher" Boucher's disturbed mind, it is an objective description of the circus agglomeration not of freaks but of desperate people who are born, exist and die traumatized. Depressing? Truthful. The scene in which the protagonist has a new pair of sunglasses with the price tag still attached that dangles over his nose should be considered a classic.

Slow pace but it's gritty and I loved how it developed as it went along.

Awful movie, won't recommend it even to my dog. Too long and full of unnecessary events. They added his childhood instead of his past boxer career. No backstory, no interesting characters.

It did pass the time but quite slowly. It was long and rather uneventful. Acting was below average and the story was lame. Soon to be forgotten.

The only street fighting film that I will ever endorse. Thoroughly enjoyed it
