Runway 34
audience Reviews
, 88% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsMovie was actually quite very impressive. The direction was good. Visuals was satisfactory. I liked how diverse was the cast. Film depicts the story of pilot who was hailed as hero for saving lifes of 150 passengers but soon after inquiry started his decisions were questioned. Both Rakul and Ajay played amazing roles. But It felt aimless to see movie after 2nd half as the incident had already occured.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPerfect combination of drama and thriller. I was gripping my bedsheets while watching this. The suspence almost gave me a heart attack.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI thought this might be a second rate production because it was foreign. But it had one of , if not definitely, the most exciting plane action in the first hour. Then it was followed by a great investigation and conclusion. This is like the B side of a record being better than the A side.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDon't listen to haters .. This is absolute one of the best work of aj and it's not an easy task to direct such a incredible movie 😇🖤
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsHe's a cocky pilot that's rough around the edges - but he lands the plane in the storm and saves the people. Then he's under investigation. But something about the Indian thriller is cheesy...and a not all around well acted.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBrilliant and amazing acting one of the best Indian movies
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWith excellent production values 'Runway 34' feels like a big movie, even though it is mostly set in the cockpit or courtroom. Similar to Robert Zemeckis' 'Flight' (2012) it has a similar story-line and dilemma of the hero, though 'Runway 34' is more engrossing and ultimately uplifting. Whereas 'Flilght ' ran out of steam after the plane landing, 'Runaway 34' maintains audience engagement through the lengthy courtroom scenes which, though over-dramatized at times, are compelling. Perhaps 15 minutes could have been shaved off the running time. However, this is worth watching for entertainment value alone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSolid movie, keeps you on your toes and shows how the best of the best can execute their job with their eyes closed. Half English half Hindi.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsReally bad. An airline pilot who is a party animal. right.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIt's quickly clear that "Runway 34" was heavily inspired by the great 2012 film, "Flight." I am not saying this movie is a copy in any way, but there is already a better movie with similar subject matter out there. I thought the movie started out okay but quickly lost me with its overdramatic nature and weak special effects. After the thrilling stuff ends, the movie becomes a legal drama and a pretty boring one. By the time the movie ends, I just wasn't sure if it had anything profound to say. It felt like it was throwing twists around just for the sake of it and I felt the journey of the story didn't reach anything particularly satisfying. Overall, it is a messy movie that has some merit-worthy moments but mostly falls flat because of its lack of focus and direction.
