Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance
audience Reviews
, 93% Audience Score- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe inherent problem with Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance is that it lacks the sincerity that the original film had. Amir Shervan was trying to make a good film but ultimately failed on every spectacular level. Here, director Gregory Hatanaka goes out of his way to cram EVERY possible reference to the first film that he could into its bloated run time. This sequel is almost too self-aware of itself and ultimately tries too hard to be a bad movie rather than achieving the same result with competent earnestness. Tommy Wiseau's cameo sums it all up. It's nice to see most of the original cast back once again but that's about as far as any form of praise this film deserves, the film is an absolute mess and not even an entertaining mess, more of a chore to sit through. Even if you weren't a fan of the original film, Samurai Cop 2 is hardly going to win anyone over, it's just a depressing experience.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI can't get over the actors sounding like they're reading a line.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI hate movies like "The birdemic" that tries to be so bad that its good, unfortunately this one is one of thoes. The only saving grace this movie has is the cameos from the first movie(and tommy wiseau) I had hoped it lived up to the OG but sadly it doesn't..
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars47:47 "Do me a favor, don't keep it warm"- Joe This is why the gods refuse to give us any more modern day World wonders, because as a society we have already peaked. It was this line, this... masterpiece that made even the gods cry as they saw what the gods could not create themselves. So yeah definitely watch at least up until that moment. 5/5 WOULD KEEP WARM AGAIN
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsI watched this after watching first part (original). While first part was indeed genuinely funny, because director tried to make serious detective movie with obvious epic fails, this one tries to be a parody. However, for a parody to be good, it has to be intelligent, while this scenario is not. Illogic scenario, fights beginning all of a sudden without being anticipated, main character killing bunch of women at the end with rivers of blood - should this deserve an positive opinion? I gave this movie one and a half star only for beautiful (and naked) women.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis one fails where the first didn't because it knew it was just a joke, and that makes it less funny.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsYes, they somehow managed to make a film worst than the first. "Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance" is a masterclass in nonsensical screenwriting, absent direction and completely random editing. Female nudity is overused without merit again and there's a surprising amount of fan service, which would have made sense if the original had any actual fans but, as it stands, feels like a poor shot at self-parody. Oh and Tommy Wiseau appears! Acting weirder than ever, he's the one stealing the limelight.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsi know this movie is supposedly be bad. but it doesn't even lived up the first movie. i really loved the first movie but this one is just a mess. even as a standalone B movie it is not watchable. to summary this movie : a big inside joke that get supported by some people who has a lot of free times. oh, i still love Matt Karadas, Mark Frazer, and of course Tommy Wiseau performance here.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie is F*cking mind blowing! Awesomely insane
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsTries to be as funny as the first, but that's just it, it tries. Samurai Cop 1 was not trying to be bad which is what made it funny. That as well as the awful music choices makes the only good part about this movie Tommy Wiseau who delivers a hilarious performance/not performance as usually.
