"Scheherazade Tell Me a Story" is a Grandiose ,potent ,Thought-provoking motion picture featuring excellent performances and an marvelous direction by youssry nassrallah this film is without any doubt my favorite egyptian film of 2009

A confronting journalistic take on the plight of women in Egypt, from the high and mighty, to the various downtrodden, and how there is little difference.

saw this little film two years ago and we simply loved it . i can see now why it is finally being released. my fav line "when the go vernment is corrupt every thing is politics". try to catch this timely gem.

And inevitably they did, the main theme being the oppression of women and how underlying politics unavoidably touches all in Egypt. It is a misnomer of course that this very story can be told - and from the outside looking in, from a philosophical viewpoint it could just as easily be universal as arguably a nation's culture (and religious views) does indeed effect it's politics. Technically flawless and well written.
