'Shaolin Soccer' is amusing! As someone who loves both film and football (soccer), it was about time I checked this one out. Of course, it holds little resemblance to actual footy but it still mixes the sport and the martial art impressively. It's funny, especially across the first half. I would say that the film overstays its welcome slightly, it does feel drawn out by the time that final match concludes. That isn't all that damaging mind you, because I'd consider this a fun time. Stephen Chow is entertaining, as are the rest of the cast to be fair; mostly so, Wong Yat-fei.

What happens when you mix Looney Tunes with Bruce Lee? That's roughly what this sports comedy is, and while it's not a breath of fresh air, it falls short when it comes to making you laugh. To kill 90 minutes with the minimum of pain

Shaolin soccer is the ultimate soccer fantasy, especially if you like gymnastics and martial arts and just feeling good. The story and the romance are subpar for sure, but we didn’t come here for that.

filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, algumas cenas das parodias são boas mas o resto do filme é ruim e sem sentindo como a parte que ele chuta a geladeira e coloca no lugar certo, as cenas do treino de futebol e o torneio foram boas e salvaram o filme, as cenas de dialogos são ruins, mas esse filme eu só recomendo, por causa do futebol é a parte boa do filme, se não, o filme seria ruim.

An absolute comedic masterpiece, anyone who likes absurd comedy needs to see it.
