The Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg combo has never failed. While it’s not my first time watching Shaun of the Dead, it has been a decent amount of time. Regardless, Shaun of the Dead never fails to make me laugh. With its witty writing from Pegg and Wright, Shaun of the Dead is a brilliant script made even more comical by the performances from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Director Edgar Wright knows how to satirize the zombie genre whilst still honoring the formulaic approach of the genre. With its humorous amount of gore and ridiculousness, Shaun of the Dead also surprises with its substantial amount of heart and emotion. Simon Pegg has always been a consistent comedic actor, but his performance in Shaun of the Dead is something special. The dynamic between Pegg and Frost never fails to deliver uncontrollable laughter and their chemistry is certainly worthy to be considered in the all-time acting duos. Shaun of the Dead explores the relatable feelings of juggling relationships with friends, family, and a significant other. Edgar Wright knows how to build a story that continuously rises until an explosive, exhilarating final act. Overall, Shaun of the Dead is charmingly humorous with stylish flairs of captivating zombie craziness. Simon Pegg is unique with his ability to command the screen in multiple scenarios and tones. Nick Frost is unbelievably funny.

This is a perfect movie. That's the full review. It's a romantic comedy with zombies. Why are you reading reviews of it when you should be watching it?

All Time Classic. Man it's chaotic, hilarious, fun, and truly one of the ebst comedies ever made. It's amazing how Shaun messes up at every single turn with dumb choices including the core premise. But everything is just so sharp and well executed it's an absolute joy and you end up loving him. The dialouge is super memorable and quoteable, the direction is so good, the soundtrack is awesome, the editing is so sharp and crisp, and it just never misses a beat. It's always got something great going on. The characters are super memorable especially Shaun & Edward who have amazing chemistry. The kills are awesome too. It balances humor and horror so well and is never stupid either. Don't get me wrong it's dumb at times but it's a smart kind of dumb when it is. Everyone should give this a try once.
