- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThought it was a slight upgrade from the first one. Did a great job at following the same principles, although it did well at sort of standing alone. I feel like you could watch this movie and still understand things without watching the first one. Not saying its a bad thing, but was pretty interesting. Solid watch.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPlease make more of these. So fun to watch
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThe great thing about the traditional Sherlock Homes is that he uses deductive reasoning to solve actual problems. There is no realism or deductive reasoning in this movie at all. Unrealistic, not mysterious, lacking in entertainment value. Why cast Rachel McAdams and then kill her off at the beginning of the film?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA thrilling, action packed and thoroughly enjoyable entertainer. Both Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are fantastic as always.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsLess than mysterious, emotionally hollow someow? The cast gives their all but somehow this one is too dark and disjointed.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsJust as good as the first. Not sure why the critics had such a low opinion
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA proper old style adventure romp. Great set pieces and all carried out with GR's usual visual flair. Highly recommended.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLoved it... never tired of seeing it over and over. Funny lots of adventure ...well acted
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsIt's very much a mash of silliness. I never felt any connection to the Sherlock Holmes legacy from watching this. It could have been made as an action-comedy with lesser known actors for all it does in the way of feeling worthwhile. Currently I am watching it for the second time since its release as an evening filler and I've stopped the play twice for almost an hour at a time to surf the web for not particular reason. Noomi Rapace's presence is about the only thing keeping my attention.
