- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsYou try to watch and can’t believe with all these intriguing beautiful talented actors, that something released to the public could be so horrible. The end credits song makes you feel the same as the entire movie did watching.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsIt's a groaner. It lacks any kind of charm or wit to keep your attention for any amount of time. And boy oh boy Jennifer Love Hewitt bad as the devil... Oof!
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNot a bad or original premise . Comedy could have been stronger and kept it rolling 2.4
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis movie first and foremost lacks soul, pun intended. The story is a poor spin off of Bedazzled, yet done with little interest and comitment by the actors and director. Everything about this movie lacks energy and sense. The lack of commitment by everyone involved is simply horrendous.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsWell, the movie had some good lessons but it wasn't enjoyable. Mainly because of the tiny and uninteresting devil for whom Jennifer Love Hewitt wasn't the right pick. Other than that it was okay.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsReally needs to be seen to understand how bad this is. Poorly directed, edited, written, shot...you name it. Even the great Anthony Hopkins can't rescue this mess...then again, it doesn't look as if he's trying all that hard either. There's a reason this sat on the shelf for years....it's a total catastrophe.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsNicely done update to the Devil and Daniel Webster, with a really great cast. Anthony Hopkins is always worth watching.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFun story, that comes from a well written script which is then played with talent by Anthony and Alec. Cinematography is detailed giving a delicious view for the eye. Being a literary and moral story the depth of language is an enchantment for the ear and mind. Nibbles: Devilled Eggs.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI'm going to try not to hold it against him too much, but this film was made because Alec Baldwin directed. This means the cast he was able to bring is fantastic. Sadly, his directing is worse than most amateur filmmakers. The script is simple and without anything special or original to say. It's easy to mistake it as an ego trip for Baldwin, but I don't think it is. The film just isn't good enough to warrant the talents of anyone involved. It's also sad to see Baldwin's directing as uninspired as it is. But while it looks incredibly cheap, it's still a movie that mostly works. And good to see a collection of so many fun character actors in one place. Before seeing: Holy crap, this movie sounds awesome!
