‘It’s f***ed up what da critics said about this movie mon’ “Full of senseless violence”? Well, I’ve never heard of violence that makes sense. That’s the point. Yes, it’s blown out. Yes, the plot is kind of shot out. But it will always be a cult classic in my(and many other people’s)book. All these years later, and the characters still bump around in my head. What more can you want?

great movie. i'm not sure why some of the reviews said it's full of senseless violence. sure, a lot of people die, but with each scene less and less people are left. the happy ending doesn't indicate that it was good to kill all those people, and if you listen to the music it's constantly about wanting to get away from violence. i would not compare this to scarface the way that many reviews are, because in general it was way better written, produced, and acted. scarface legitimately glorifies this stuff, whereas shottas shows us from start to finish that if you start a fire, the fire will blaze up higher. exponentially increasing violence was the point of the film, culminating in the protagonist losing all his friends and family and just getting some money in return.

The movie is deeply lacking substance! Too much shootings and killings without knowing why and what's the motive. The scenes are more like snippets and this make the entire movie very confusing. So much senseless killings without proper motives. Going on constant shooting rampages is not all that makes a movie interesting to watch, sorry 😐 a good movie needs to have a beginning, a plot, a theme, and a good ending this is not the case in this movie!
