Offsetting Singh’s wildness is Devgn’s unmoving performance, Kumar’s disinterested appearance and Padukone’s insufficient presence.

The sequels have got bigger and emptier; this one leaves us watching shopworn action tropes being wrapped in the flag of nationalism and listlessly if noisily tossed around.

The result is loud and tedious, and instantly forgettable.

Too many cooks spoil the broth. The attempt to link Ramayana’s story with Singham’s universe is novel, but the execution goes haywire. It takes forever to evoke the thrills we are seated for.

Replete with tired plot tropes and outdated ideas, Rohit Shetty's Singham Again has plenty of stars, but not an ounce of the values that its target audience might resonate with.

Singham Again will appeal to fans of Rohit Shetty’s style, but offers little new for those seeking a fresh new take on the subject.

Watching a Hindi film cop drama today can be an exercise in suspicion. There is always jingoism lurking in the wings. In Singham Again, it takes centre-stage but it is accompanied by such dullness that the bigotry becomes the lesser evil.

Even with the benefit of having a star-studded cast, the action film sequel Singham Again is quite lackluster and dull in its storytelling. It's yet another trite, uneven, and predictable story about violent fights between criminals and law enforcement.

it still isn’t enough to save a dwindling cinematic universe that has sadly lost the potent political message it loudly and unabashedly stated in its first installment in favor of a gratuitous glorification of the police force.
