, 88% Audience Score- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsTurned it off after 40 minutes. Just stupid. Imagine Rambo with the powers of Thor and Odin combined. Main lead is older than me and I struggle to get my socks on in the morning, ridiculous.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsReally good film. Lots of blood and gore. Also, clever. Highly recommended.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI would've liked some character from the...main character. I was bored watching this. No storyline and just cheesy action. Maybe it just wasn't my thing but I saw the reviews and gave it a watch.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA nice creative mix of John Wick and Art the Clown. Enjoyed this film. Plot felt a little dry and thin, but it was carried by the characterization of our protagonist (if you can call him that).
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI was going to turn it off after 10 minutes. So glad I didn’t! Great movie! If someone told me Tarantino had made it, I would believe them!
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsWhy did I thought of watching this movie after so long? Action was okay. Apart from that, everything was so boring. Everything becomes so easy and convenient for the main lead. Only thing which I liked was cinematography, in which they also suck during the climax mid air fight sequence. Don't watch it.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI'm going to be the misery guts here and say I was disappointed by this film. I will start with the good. The lead and villain are excellent, the cinematography is beautiful, the practical effects are well done, the music is perfect and it is set in an arena of the war rarely covered. Now to the bad. The films tone is all over the place, at the beginning it seems to be a gritty wartime action, but by the end it's devolved into a bizarre, borderline comedic mess. The lead should die at multiple points in the film, but is continually saved by sloppy writing or nonsensical leaps in logic. The plot is the epitome of generic and even when you switch your brain off you still can't but question what on earth it is you are watching. The lead is regularly held at gunpoint yet you feel no tension, as his plot armour is apparent from the get go. He survives things no one could possibly come back from, even in a film! I'm all for dumb fun, but this just felt ridiculous at points and I was involuntarily eye rolling by the end. The final negative would probably be the historical accuracy, which is patchy at best and laughable at worst. Overall I'd not recommend this. I had really high hopes for this film and I am pretty gutted with the end result. I'd give it a 5/10, its average. I have no idea how it has achieved such high ratings from critics and audiences alike, but I'm always concerned when these two parties agree on rotten tomatoes. Perhaps I took this film too seriously, but frankly it is not meant to be a comedy, and does not begin as one, so why shouldn't I? What a shame.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsCompletely unrealistic. Enemies make stupid decisions and the protagonist always escapes. Survived plane crash. Just make a superhero movie at this point. Not creative at all
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsgraphic mayhem . . . .
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI'm surprised this movie has reviewed so well. It's very okay. Story is very simple and the movie as a whole is very slow. Nice cinematography and good gory action but overall felt like it was lacking in the story department.
