Very cheesy movie with childlike comedy.
  • Rating: 0.5 out of 5 stars
Too edgy for kids and too juvenile for teens, Sleepover will appeal to no one en route to a forgettable experience.

Even the kids will find it thin.

I mean it wasnt terrible but I find the age gaps a little concerning? I diddnt grow up in america so I dont know the school system but as a 15 year old girl myself I think it's kinda weird because that dude looks alot older? Also what's with the name Yancy? The redhead was literally nowhere to be seen half the time and it's so unrealistic like theres no way the dad was oblivious to the whole situation, also how did they just climb into those boxes like surely they would've shut it from the outside not just let it swing open anytime, I think I'm overthinking this but still, maybe I'm being to judgemental and it's just a alright film about being a tween 🤷‍♀️, I will say I cried at the end because I had to move across the country away from my bestfriend not to long ago so I know what it's like and it's not easy.

My friend Julia almost threw up. Steve was absolutely vile, especially when he said "she grew up nice"

It was so average it's not even worth writing this almost. The acting is passable. Alexa unfortunately is not a very good actress but she is lucky everyone else around her is at least average and makes her better. When she is by herself she isn't that good. Most of the characters are generic and forgettable with jokes that fall flat. The cinematography is just ok along with a generic mid 2000's dated soundtrack. The editing & pacing are just ok also as nothing really lingers and it moves quick but never builds investment. This is so bland it isn't worth watching almost unless you grew up with it for nostalgia. Besides that skip this.

Okay, so this movie is literally SO BAD, but thats what makes it amazing you know? I had so much fun making fun of this horribly done movie, and if your looking for a movie to roast the shit out of, this is the movie for you. But if you are a middle schooler, or just a young girl about to go into high school for that matter, I wouldn't recommend watching this, whereas it has such bad advice for you guys, and you shouldn't take this movie seriously at all. If you have that in mind, go right ahead and laugh at it, but PLEASE don't take this movie seriously! High school is defiantly not about how popular you are or how skinny and pretty you are, or how many guys like you. It's really just about getting decent grades, and trying to have some fun. You shouldn't care what anyone else is doing, just focus on you. Anyway, this movie is trash, but is comedic GOLD!

One thing that no body is saying about this movie is that it is incredibly fat shaming to one of the girls. The "fat" one didnt even make the cover. This movie does not share a positive message for girls and is problematic in several ways. All of the girls selfworth is centered around status and men. I would not let my young kids watch because I believe it sends a very terrible message.
