Who knew Bella would have more expressions than the new snow white

This started as an incredible movie. A visual spectacle with fantastic performances to boot, particularly from figures such as Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth. The hate for Kristen Stewart's acting is unfounded, as it was perfectly fine for the role she was playing. From the beginning right up until about 3/4 of the way into the movie, they had a superb theme of peace and restoration going on, and Snow White's character was focused on being a healing and inspiring figure who hated the idea of hurting anything. It was great until they decided she needed to go girlboss in the end, destroying the flat character arc she performed so well in favor of making her awesome. She actively tries to kill the queen, something she would never have done early on in the film. If that's the arc they were going for, they failed. Overall, it was a very enjoyable watch with incredible visual effects and choreography for the fight scenes. I would recommend it for those things, though I wish the story had been consistent.

I really enjoyed this movie, now and as a child when it first was released. The setting, plot, costumes, and characters were all intriguing and thoughtful, making you feel completely immersed in this fantasy world. I loved the slightly darker aspect of it that makes it so unique and way more fun to watch than any of the other snow white adaptations that are out right now. The sets added so much to the immersive nature of the movie, and the costumes were so great. They mirrored the cartoon version of snow white's costume with the puffed sleeves, but also added that grittier feel with the pants and cut skirt. The costume designer, Colleen Atwood, also absolutely popped off with Ravenna's dresses. Loved watching this with my friends and again with my family. The actors and actresses all did a fantastic job and its such a good movie.

Although Kristen Stewart was a bad actress as usual, Charlize Theron and the rest of the cast did an awesome job. I loved the costumes and the whole theme throughout the movie.

Not great but not terrible. In comparison to Disney’s 2025 Snow White, this was a masterpiece.

I don’t understand why people hate this movie so much. It’s a fantasy fairytale, it’s not Lord of the Rings with multiple books of back story. It’s a pretty straightforward retelling of the classic. The costumes, CGI, and landscapes are all beautifully executed. The battle scenes were epic and the cinematography is thoughtful. I was surprised how well it held up since it’s been nearly 13 years since I watched it. Sure the dialogue could have used some fine tuning and there’s some magical nonsense, but it’s a fairytale. If you have some imagination, you’ll probably enjoy it.
