Another example of how the professional critics seem to be out of touch—they don't like it, but 90% of regular people do. I agree with the regular people on this movie.

I nearly didn't watch it because of critics score but I'm so glad I went with the viewers score instead. The movie had me engaged right from the beginning and I enjoyed it right through to the end. Although a little predictable at the end of didn't detract from the journey.

Very emotional film, one of the best I have seen for a while.

So B. It is one of the best book-to-film adaptations I have seen. Sticking to the plot almost perfectly, the portrayals of the characters were convincing, down to the child best friend who had only a few lines. I was disappointed to see that the disabled characters did not get more screen time, but the story did not shy away from unpleasant topics.

I enjoyed this movie. It shows you don't have to be related to be a family and care about each other.

Can't believe the rotten tomato rating! 40% rotten tomatoes and 95% audience votes! Do the audience votes even get taken into consideration? The actors in this movie were all very talented and I quite enjoyed the movie. I almost didn't watch it because of the rating but I'm glad I did!

I very much enjoyed this movie especially knowing it was made with a $2 million budget. Creative story and was pleased book author Weeks brought early viewing of the movie to her childhood hometown Ann Arbor. Excellent family movie (bring the kids over 10) with opportunity for all to have discussions about diversity issues, mental health, and what makes a family.

Absolutely beautiful. Incredible performances. Very true to the book. If you loved the book you will love the movie. Ignore the PG13 rating. A perfect family movie for kids 4th grade and up. GO SEE IT!
