Speak No Evil
audience Reviews
, 83% Audience Score- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsIt was alright. I like that they did their own take on the original and that the kids had a much bigger role. The acting was great, but it's ultimately too "Americanized" for my taste. Too much focus on action scenes and rushing of the plot. It took away a lot of nuance and subtlety that made the original so terrifying and anxiety inducing. It would be really hard for me to ever watch the original again because of how brutal it is, but it's definitely better than the remake.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsHad it's moments, and the acting was good, but it was just a smidge boring and unremarkeable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie is not meant to be funny, but you wouldn't feel guilty for laughing. We've all met the Tesla couple with the uptight veggie mom and the precocious child. This movie really helped you understand why they are incredibly annoying and how a sexy James McAvoy can ease that pain for you.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWhile I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would it was still a good movie. James McAvoy is a great actor with creepy people and this is very very true here. All the acting was great and had many good scenes but I felt that it wasn’t really realistic and also kinda boring at some times. I do like a slow burn but they need a little bit more in the middle. Otherwise though this film is pretty good.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsBad attempt at building suspense. It take the whole length of movie and still failed. The plot is weak and the writing is bad. The only saving point is the acting of the main villain. The rest? Just a waste of time. Keep doing things even though so many signs has been shown to them and they keep ignoring it. Suspense is never there. Just annoyance for dragging the suspense that never came.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOne of the most frustrating movies to watch.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starswell done remake of a lesser known european movie made about 5 years ago. Really well done, and even having seen the original first, I really enjoyed this. Seeing the original didnt spoil the ending, and I didnt feel any point of the movie was redundant. I was pleasantly surprised. Acting was a 10/10 too. It's the type of movie that makes you grip the sofa during tense moments.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsComparada con la versión original es una muy flojo remake con un final totalmente edulcorado y para niños O sea el público norteamericano . La versión original danesa es mil veces mejor
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI thought this was really really good. In typical horror fashion, some poor choices were made, but in a shocking turn of events, I think those poor decisions were redeemed as the film went on. Pretty suspenseful and entertaining. Thought the cast did a really good job in these roles as well. Really pleased with how this turned out!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOh my oh my... One of the worst movies I've seen for a while. Take every single horror trope and put them in to one incredibly predictable and infuriating film. Couldn't wait for it to end, after repeated stupidity and ridiculous decisions from the family. McAvoy played his part well, as did the young boy, but the plot was so so so dumb even that couldn't save this one. Gutted as the trailer made it look good and the reviews were decent.
