Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
audience Reviews
, 18% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI'm being generous with this review and rating cause I like street fighter and bad action movies but this movie stinks in many ways. Its very boring for a movie with so much action I proffered the mortal Kombat movies much more.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis is a shameful movie really terrible casting, really bad writing and directing and really god awful vfx.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsLate '90s style action fantasy nostalgia comfort food. 6.8/10 - Low budget but solid.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis made me appreciate what a MASTERPIECE the JC-VD movie was.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsStreet Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li is another example of a poorly adapted take on the iconic video game franchise and its characters. The acting ranged from poor to mediocre especially with Chris Klein's Nash and Neal McDonough's M. Bison, the martial arts was not well choreographed, the story and script were bland and uninteresting. I've played the Street Fighter series for a long time and I have a general idea of the game's setting along with the characters' backstories and yet whoever wrote the film did not acknowledge and relate back to the source material.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWow, actually cringe worthy... Were the actors actually instructed to do the worst most always job possible? In fact if they just make this movie derivative and directly copy another successful movie but with SF characters they would have done ten times better... And WTF is this soundtrack??? The crew needs to pay us for our time wasted hating a beloved iconic franchise
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsBetter than the 94' version but still Not Good. Chris Klein & Neal McDonough are terribly miscast. Chun-Li is just ok and doesn't really have any chemistry with anyone. Everyone is honestly ok outside of the miscasting's but the miscasting's drag down the performances to subpar. The cinematography is ok and the fight scenes are generic and forgettable. So is the musical score as well. The editing and pacing are not good in this. This movie can't decide if it wants to be a Police thriller or Kung-Fu movie and really never makes the two work together. While there definitely is more focused a plot here than in 94' it still loses focus sometimes and it drags and never really keeps tension. I can definitely understand why hardcore Street Fighter fans hate this. But anyone else its just a subpar Action Movie. Skip This.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsSpamming fireball moment
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNot the greatest plot or acting but still entertaining 😂
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsHmm, trying to think of what positive thing can I say about Chun Li? 🤔. Oh, I wish I could say this is the worst movie I've ever seen. That's positive, right? Oh, and I can't believe they wasted the perfect casting of Kristin Kreuk on this garbage.
