Stripes, despite featuring an excellent cast like Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, suffers from a lightweight script that leans heavily on the tropes of modern slacker comedies. As a result, it struggles to deliver a truly impactful experience.

A fun movie. Warren Oates was great!

10% rating ... I'm sorry, but the plot of this film is absurdley stupid. I may have chuckled once or twice.
  • Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
A fun film, not great but gets much better in the third act. You can't really say anything interesting about a movie as goofy as Stripes. But it is notable for having the longest mud wrestling scene that I've ever seen in a film.

Typical Bill Murray movie. Ad libed. Cartoon characters. Absurd plot.

Love watching this movie repeatedly. Incredibly funny. NRJ.

It's a great comedy, it's not a very good military movie. Nothing in the movie is like the real thing, I would've loved to have Sergeant Halka as my drill instructor, complete cupcake.

Wonderful cast, clever and witty laugh out loud funny with amazing story, this is a great film. So very well done. John Candy, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis all lergnds in a classic comedy.

Murray playing his usual role and joining the army for money. 5/10 - Meh.

It might come across as a little dated, but it's still pretty funny in spots.
