It just kinda didn't really have much to tell, the actors are doing a good job but I don't think the screenplay translated good from the book, so it left it very dull and honestly hard to watch…

Some ofJake Gyllenhaal's best. He was very convincing throughout. Good movie. Watch it!!!

This film rounds up the cinematic narrative depicting the Boston marathon bombing to a close as we examine prolific heroism that risen through the aftermath as a symbolically given hero, questioning granted reception that's only nurturing the trauma without much peace. How Jake Gyllenhaal embodies all that weight strengthens one of his best, most solid performances over the thematically ideal struggles in a sympathetic, more considerate direction as a humane reminder under peaceful advocation. (A-)

I had seen my mom watch this movie before when I was younger but I never watched it myself until last night. This movie was so well-done and heartbreaking. Jake Gyllenhaal outdid himself with this movie honestly. 10/10 would recommend and watch again.

3 & 1/4 stars. This movie was not filled with schmaltzy emotion, as I feared. It was realistic in showing the hero go from irresponsible & unproductive to face up to the hard work it will take to overcome the loss of both legs.

this movie made me really angry at it at times, but i think thats a good thing. jake gyllenhaal never fails, i love him in absolutely every movies he is in.

Just seeing this film; it is very deep; excellently portrayed by skilled craftspeople. A new surprise around every corner, it seemed--the character needed to get used to the situation and had several touching opportunities to do so. Brings the viewer right in and doesn't stop. Very tragic, but real.

This movie is a true story. We loved the entire presentation. The acting was superb and the story was very interesting. I think you'll like this one --check it out!

The film felt so realistic. A compelling true story, a solid screenplay, great dialogue, subtle and naturalistic performances, gorgeous cinematography, and wonderful direction. What else can you ask for in a film?
