Wow 😍👍 I definitely recommend this.

Way better than I thought it would be. I like that the movie took place in two times in Alex’s life.

Filme sobre relacionamento homoafetivo masculino na adolescência sempre me causa um impacto e me deixa muito pensativa e pesarosa, pois tenho dois amigos que viveram esse momento de forma distintas, porém igualmente conturbadas… Parcialmente baseado num romance infantojuvenil (foi um dos percursores no estilo)… "você acha que inventamos as pessoas que amamos?" e é exatamente assim que um desses amigos se apaixona, criando homens perfeitos na sua imperfeição… Filme lindo e emocionante...

Very similar, but also very different to Call Me By Your Name, I absolutely love this film. The chemistry between those two boys is phenomenal. Tears rolling down while I'm writing this.

I absolutely Loved summer of 85 as it was very much just like my own experience back in 1985 , Felix Lefebvre was so believable as ALEX , It is so hard for young guys when they have their first crush on a friend and with no one to explain whats happening to them and their feelings for their best friend . I can say this about two boys in love, it is much stronger than a boy and a girl , Felix did a great job of bringing this to the film .

Hated the plot twist, I expected a love story but ay my opinion is extremely biased.

Basically a story of a 16 year old coming out and falling head-over-heels in love.

Summer of 85 (French: Été 85) is a 2020 romantic drama film written and directed by François Ozon 🛶 It’s good 🙂 I’d recommend it if you like this genre 👍🏼 What do you dream of when you're 16-years-old and in a seaside resort in Normandy in the 1980s? A best friend? A lifelong teen pact? Scooting off on adventures on a boat or a motorbike? Living life at breakneck speed? No. You dream of death. Because you can't get a bigger kick than dying. And that's why you save it till the very end. The summer holidays are just beginning, and this story recounts how Alexis grew into himself.

I have to simply put it, I loved the movie! I never like tragic endings but I can respect them enough to appreciate and love the movie. Tragic or not tragic ending, I highly recommend the movie, it's amazing.
