its a nice family frendly feel good movie that you might find unbearible. but i recommend terence hill's other movies.

As another reviewer wrote, this came out on HBO circa 1982 and I watched it a dozen times with my family. I loved this movie and watching it again now find it highly entertaining. I don't see why critics rated it so low. You can see the audience score is nearly 5 times higher.

I know it’s from the early 80’s and it’s kind of corny, cheesy but I love this movie. As a kid growing up I saw it multiple times on HBO on constant replay. I don’t care what anybody says I like the movie and definitely recommend watching it.

Cheesy italian flick about a cop struggling with superpowers. Corbucci clearly had passed his peak already, but Hill and Borgnine perform well.

Super Fuzz's infectious stupidity starts right from the get-go and refuses to ease up at any point, with no limit to how ludicrous it can be. With a cheesy theme song serving as a mic drop for whenever the thick Italian accented Terence Hill does anything super, this is a film that's very hard to hate, breezing on by with a deliciously campy tone and irregular internal logic. Directed by legendary Sergio Corbucci, it's a very different type of cinematic experience than what his spaghetti westerns offer but his commitment to the film's tone is why it works so well; I can't recommend Super Fuzz enough if the opening credits don't make you colourblind first. It's a film never meant to be taken seriously, and that should be obvious from the title alone. It's a parody. It's slapstick. It's fun. The sort of thing that's missing from the many superhero films of today.

Although listed as SUPER SNOOPER on Amazon Prime, it will always be SUPER FUZZ in my heart, as that was the title used when it repeatedly aired during my formative HBO years. Even as a 10-year-old, I knew that this wasn't great filmmaking, but I remember enjoying it quite a bit. Well, the 10-year-old is now a cranky 50-year-old, and there wasn't much fun to be had this time around. I expected it to coast by on nostalgia if nothing else, but even that was in low supply. It looks like it was made for $1.98 with shabby values, horrible editing and a cast that wouldn't qualify for a LOVE BOAT episode. I would have loved if the filmmakers had exploited his superpowers more, but I reckon budget constraints would have made that difficult. Hill is an appealing and nice-looking actor, and I'd be curious to see how he handled himself in more legitimate fare. Sadly, there's not much here to recommend unless you're an 80s completist. Otherwise, I think you'll find yourself a bit bored.

Super Fuzz is pretty bad. Bad writing, bad acting, bad special effects, choreography, cinematography, the plot is stupid ... just nothing good. It has a mildly amusing premise which is destroyed in execution. Ernest Borgnine must have needed a paycheck. There are a bunch of other ancient geezers seemingly all from Italy that may have been famous in the 1800s. It might be mildly nostalgic if you saw it when you were say five. But otherwise just SOOO unwatchable and dumb.
