Super Troopers 2
audience Reviews
, 64% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNot as good as the first one, but I still enjoy this. Farva was still a dick & the rest guys were stupid as usual. Plus having Sasso, Levine, Lowe & the beautiful Emmanuelle Chriqui was absolutely great.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsDefinitely missed the bar that the first movie set but that often seems to be the case in funny movies that go for a sequel, they try too hard. Certainly a few funny parts though.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWhat the heck was this supposed to be?
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsHilarious from start to finish, the only reason I'm giving it 4.5 and not 5 stars is because.... It's dumb. But it's supposed to be dumb. Broken Lizard always delivers with the idiotic humor, and we love them for it!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA piss-poor follow-up to the hilarious 2001 comedy. Bar a few amusing moments, it not only fails to recreate the original's randomness, it fails to be funny in general. There's no spark in the acting and the script feels like a string of underwhelming bits, repetitive jokes and cringey dialogues that occasionally gets violently interrupted by a basic, unoriginal, predictable plot. It's disappointing that this was the best they could do and that their strained efforts show every step of the way.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsIt was ok overall with its juvenile comedy, but it was funny to see the amount of Canadian vs. American jokes as they poked fun at each other.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIt was meh. Not as good as the original by any means. I wouldn't watch it again.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThe original was just that, original. This one? Not so much. Terrible caricature Canadian accents get old quickly, the jokes have all been done before, rehashed plotlines and in some scenes even the actors really seemed detached and just going through the motions. Watch it for free if you can, otherwise skip it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsEXQUISITE AND HILARIOUS!: A must-see film, properly shown by the predecessors of Super Troopers I; It holds a significant game plan with lots of comedic twists and turns that you wouldn't believe until you actually watched it. This particular movie was not only Original despite being a sequel but was extremely comedic and pleasant to the eyes to watch. I was definitely having more laughs with the second film of the series rather than the first and I can not wait until there is a trilogy, Super Troopers definitely deserves a trilogy.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsYou Have to realize this is a separate, but equivalent film! Without the first, there would be no second. You need to enjoy the clever wittiness of the second cinematic adventure. You wouldn't ask what's better back to the future one, or back to the future two. Obviously, back to the future is the better film, but you wouldn't have back to the future two without back to the future and what we really want a world with no back to the future two and back to the future three cowboy edition? Do we really want a world with no Rob Lowe as a Canadian mayor? The answer is no. The wittiness and throwback jokes really come full circle in this long-awaited sequel. I appreciate the time they took to craft a genuine sequel to their cult classic . The Danny Devito seen, is arguably one the funniest scenes I've witnessed in in a hot minute! *it's the same *ucking guy*
