Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

This was a great film. Helena is so good.

Very good movie version of the musical. Very good characterisation from all the actors and great colour scheme. I want to particularly comment on the song 'By The Sea' as it really plays with a sense of the real life and fantasy/dream with the very contrasting colour schemes between each location. The costumes were very good and detailed as expected from a Tim Burton movie. The songs were mostly very good, I was however disappointed to learn some songs from the musical did not make it to the film. I am also sure that back in 2007 the CGI was top quality, but watching in 2025 did not do it the justice it deserved.

The musical numbers are phenomenal and the mood & lighting is compelling.

Filme bacaninha, o roteiro é mais ou menos, o filme teve cenas boas como as mortes na cadeira com muito sangue, e quando o sweeney todd queimou a mulher na casa dele, mas a parte musical do filme e a história em si não foram boas e nao ajudaram o filmea ser bom, o filme colocou um clima gótico de antigamente que não ajudou muito.

bloody and entertaining, I'm not usually a fan of musicals but this film has me listening to the soundtrack in the car, a great revenge story with an amazing ending

i can rewatch this movie so many times and never get bored! i love the music I love the story I love the characters and especially the actors. all in all one of the best musical movie adaptations at least in the top 5

One of the better musicals in awhile, the casting was perfect and the style even better.

The movie was actually a quality and beautiful movie, but it also had boring and unnecessary scenes and I did not like the ending of the movie at all. It was not a good ending at all. They could have used the characters in the movie better.

A lyrical, operatic masterpiece—one of Burton’s finest works.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is just marvelous as it slits catchy rhythms that makes the storyline exciting to watch.
