Tears of the Sun

They didn't butcher the cinematography in the lush jungle location or squander any opportunities for a poignant close up, but the editing can't close plot holes or make the decisions for the characters that the audience surely wanted.

I think this is Bruce Willis' best movie. I mean I'm a Bruce Willis fan but this movie dealt with moral issues. The plot was very good and the acting was great but in addition the characters faced moral questions. This is the best use of the film media.

"Tears of the sun" is a really good movie. It is an action movie with morals, and it is based on a real story. See it!

Ok it's the normal action flic. But there's a certain sense of righteousness as the barbaric deeds are repaid. And as a Bruce fan I have to love it.

Absolutely horrible storyline. You complete your primary mission then instead of evacuating her, you let this civilian tag along with your personal "mercy" mission against direct orders. At least the result was somewhat realistic as you got most of your team wiped out while picking sides in a civil war that would end as diplomatic disaster for your country. I was hoping Bruce Willis would have died in the end to avoid the disgrace and probable court martial coming his way. And don't even get me started on the pathetic tactics ie: failing to use the tracker to lead the enemy away from your position and failing to recon the route ahead and walking right into an ambush, etc. Don't waste your time with this one.

Everyone needs to watch this film once

For me this is one of the saddest movie i have ever watched!!

This movie is a hidden gem. Its a masterpiece.
