Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman
audience Reviews
, 18% Audience Score- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis is, without a doubt, the WORST movie about Bundy that I've ever seen. For the record, I'm a Florida resident I was 5 when he killed his last victims about 2 hours away from my hometown. I understand creative liberties to an extent but when you're doing a movie about an actual person and events, research is important. The timelines are out of sequence. His arrest in Utah was a traffic stop, not outside someone's home. Florida didn't require front car tags in '78 (I checked...hadn't since '22). The scene in the Chi Omega house was a joke. There was never a confrontation with a detective and Bundy wasn't shot. One of the most glaring mistakes was his last murders. This makes it seem like the FSU victims were his last, however his last victim was 12 yr old Kimberly Leach. However, in this, he killed her first and gave the bracelet shown in a photo of the girl to one of the sorority girls a day or so before the attacks. The person who wrote this should have their Writers Guild membership revoked and they should be banned from ever writing anything again.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI'd watch it again just because I think it's interesting and I can't stand watching documentaries, but it's quite obvious that the creators are just trying to make money off of this situation. I guess in the end they got their goal. It's good though.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsBad. Lots of creative liberties used by the filmmakers. Acting is not good.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsCMM gives it his all, but the production is clearly cheap.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis movie is the biggest clusterfuck of a movie I have ever seen. How can they mess up a true story with so many facts. At the same time the actors performances were terrible.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThe existence of this movie is flat out awful! Making a horror film based off the real murders in such bad taste. Made Bundy out to be a god-like figure and it makes me furious. Just god awful and people should be ashamed of this.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsprobably the worst version..
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsBoring, disgusting and disrespectful to the very real victims. Daniel Farrands manages to do it again! Another boring and uninteresting movie. WOW They choose to glorify Bundy in a whole new level, making him a "cool and mysterious" guy retelling a story that should no longer should be seen this way. To make it worse, the movie decides to change the timeline of the real events to fit a weird fantasy narrative that's poorly written and not even entertaining. There's a weak attempt to create "suspense", the acting is unbelievably bad, the characters portrayed are unbearable, I wish I left the cinema after the first 5 minutes.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIt was like watching a bad 90s after school special. The writing and acting are terrible. You're better off watching a documentary and skipping the hokey dramatization.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsFor a movie that attempts to be gritty and grab the audience, it falls extraordinarily flat. The acting is poor, the scenes grow comical and it is difficult to watch any of this sad excuse for cinema.
