Ted

The greatest compliment I can pay Seth MacFarlane's Ted is that although this is essentially one of those slacker, stoner comedies, and such comedies aren't really my thing... this did make me laugh quite a bit.

It is a film that seems to have an endless middle.

There's just enough mileage in the gag to keep the movie spluttering through an energetic series of pop-cultural references and broadly staged orgies of profanity.

Laughter doesn't lie. I loved Ted and found it irresistibly funny and hugely enjoyable.

Ted has nothing much to offer in terms of subtlety and sensitivity, but there are plenty of laughs.

The film will probably be funnier if you go with a beer, a friend or perhaps - who knows? - your own dissolute soft toy companion.

With Family Guy-style jokes and references to Springfield, the humor, based on current topics such as homosexuality, sex, and other vices... permeates all elements of the film, from comedy to romance, suspense, action and comedy. [Full review in Spanish]

"Ted," while extremely funny in individual jokes here and there, suffers from that lame and predictable story, especially for something that advertises itself to be as daring.

Ted becomes a character that’s more than just a plot device or source of vulgar humor&#59; he’s one of those oddly real characters brought to life by subtle and effective special FX.

Ten years after its release, films like Ted make one wonder what is it that we collectively saw in man-children on the screen.
