- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWell, I'm not going to lie, I had a lot of fun with this movie! It's getting lots of hate online, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. The movie's story follows two best friends, Matt and Neil, who need to get laid before sunrise. Why? Because their parents are in this messed up Satanic cult that wants to sacrifice Neil to Satan to prevent Jesus coming to make the world a better place. Yeah. It's a very weird story, but it makes for some truly hilarious scenes. The characters are good and while most of them are not very interesting, they're quite likeable (except the cult ones). I don't exactly know why, but I like watching Daryl Sabara in movies that aren't Spy Kids... Anyways, the comedy in the movie can be quite over the top at times, but most of the time, I found myself smiling/laughing/chuckling at the jokes. Also, the way Neil is portrayed is hilarious on its own. The story is ridiculous and the ending is even more. The acting was good, though some of the actors were a bit distracting. All in all, a very enjoyable comedy with a ridiculous story and quite often, hilarious jokes. I would recommend if a fan of comedies like American Pie, Harold & Kumar and Road Trip.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starswasnt that bad awrite to watch once and thats it. straight to dvd movie and expect it on channel five in future, typical teen sex aka lampoons type film mixed with the satanic cult side.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsI think merging raunchy teen comedy and horror film (not in a slasher) is actually quite a good idea. Sadly this film did not live up to my hopes. There's a definite lack of comedy and even less horror. None of the comedy builds and most of the 'jokes' aren't actually jokes. Neil, the main character, is completely unlikeable and unsympathetic which made following him painful. Thankfully the movie is an hour and thirteen minutes without credits (is that even a movie length?). MVP goes to Cary Elwes who actually acts how everyone in the film should be. He's over-the-top, but at least funny - he gets it. Second MVP is Daryl Sabara who also commits to his role as Best Friend, but sadly isn't given material that is actually funny to work with. But a good effort. I was slightly disappointed Kristin Bauer van Straten was hired to just be Pam from "True Blood" again, but let's admit it, she is good in that role. I've been saying this film is worth watching only to feel better about yourself knowing you could easily write a better movie.
