The Adventurers is every bit as generic as its title ...

A sleepy globe-trotting adventure.

While the basic ingredients are familiar, Fung endows them with panache and speed, and he punctuates the action with humor.

The Adventurers is not a terrible film. It is, however, a crushingly average one.

The plot could definitely have been more adventurous.

It's a shame how the heavyweight cast and exotic European locations are wasted on such a derivative story.

Poor scripting and a serious lack of energy make this passable fun at best.
