The Adventures of Milo and Otis
audience Reviews
, 74% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI always loved this movie when I was younger. As a adult I still love the movie . My cat even loves the movie . After knowing what happened to the animals that was dark . I might not watch it anymore.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThis movie was my childhood. I named my first cat Milo. But I also love the silly voice over done by the narrator for all the animal, the charming story in general and the wild tale of these two unlikely friends who get caught up in an adventure trying to reunite and then go home again. Only four and a half stars though because of two things. One, now that I’m older I totally can tell they used a lot of different cats as the main character (I think maybe I just know cats better now that I have had a few and all those tabbies have different patterns, lol) and two because oh my gosh I forgot they literally SHOWED THE BIRTH of some animals on this movie. Wild. As a kid I think I either was just like, “Ew that happened” or was fascinated and then thought the kittens were cute haha! But it definitely was not expected.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsCute movie but the backgroud on how they made it sucks
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/4 An adventure it still is to watch. A coming of age tale with no people. It holds up.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsAdorable flick for cat and dog lovers. It's pretty silly listening to Dudley Moore narrate all the animals but from the looks of it the filmmakers had pretty good trainers for a lot of the interactions. It's almost like watching a nature documentary but for kids. You'd think a cat and a dog would not get along at first because of the natural order of the animal kingdom but luckily these two become fast friends. They have all kinds of adventures from bird hatching to escaping hungry bears to braving the elements to starting lives of their own. Overall it's all about finding each other again and working together to find their way home. It's one of those animal flicks that would start the trend of familiar stories like Homeward Bound and Far from Home. It only takes two best friends to make it safely back.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIgnoring the dark behind the scenes of this film, this film is still a great family film to watch with the kids, it has a great ending and it is an adorable time, about family and friendship.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsAnimal abuse and possible deaths, horrible what they did to those animals.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI wanted to like this movie, but at the same time, I've heard and seen some pretty messed up things about it. Apparently, there was a lot of animal cruelty that was involved in the movie and the fact that the film makers got away with it makes it even worse. It's really sad, because I love the concept of cute animals interacting with each other for a movie, but not if it means they get hurt!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love this movie so much!! A classic. Must see
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsthis movie is mediocre and they killed animals to make it
