, 97% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI watched this film in theatres and feel it was a waste of time to watch on a big screen. The plot felt like it was being 'stretched'. Overall felt like a wasted time

- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThe Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a well crafted, sweet and fun family Christmas film. It's a little sentimental, but its heart is in the right place. Based on the beloved 1972 novel it's about a small American town and their annual Christmas pageant. Early on we meet The Herdmans, an unruly group of children, four boys and two girls. We also meet Beth, a young girl at their school. Beth's mom Grace is thrust into running the pageant when the woman who usually runs it breaks her leg. Grace is a loving and caring woman and when the Herdmans want to join the pageant she allows them to, much to the dismay of the community. This sweet film is about acceptance and understanding. It could have been heavy handed but it manages to convince with a light touch. It's charming and mildly amusing. And it's always a pleasure to see Judy Greer in anything. A good family film, if a little light in the touch.
