The intro to this movie is so cliche I feel like I have seen it 50+ times. You can make a movie about a 70s kid and not make it about how he's getting beat up but he ultimately prevails. Not every kid in the 1970s got beat up. Movie starts at 30 minutes....

Definitely one of my favorite horror movies that I've seen. Based on a short story by Steven King, The Black Phone will keep you wanting more. Super excited for the second one coming out in Fall 2025!

A fun movie but far from perfect.

Great plot with screen play to match. The acting is impressive, especially Hawke, Thames & McGraw. Very creepy, scary & action enough to keep me engaged from beginning to end. Look forward to the sequel!

It's well written the fact that it had people grabbing their seat. There are a few moments but honestly those are minor and have no plot effects really.

This is a super good movie but don't go into it expecting a horror. It's not made to be super scary, but super intense. It's supposed to make you feel anxious and uncomfortable

Was pretty good. Definitely wanted to keep watching. Looking forward to the 2nd one later this year

Don't let the (stupid to me) mask artwork keep you from checking this movie out. It's definitely a thriller with excellent character development. The less you know about this movie going in, the better. If you want to watch a movie that gets your blood circulating, this will do it without doubt!

"I like the movie; I do think it's bit overrated, but it's still good. Also the acting from everyone is really good.
