I didn’t outright hate this movie but it’s left much to be desired. Telling the audience to be scared and showing some brooding imagery isn’t going to do it for me and I unfortunately aside from a couple decent jump scares, is all it can muster. What a shame because the cast is phenomenal, and the crew isn’t bad either. And for crying out loud why can’t they just have left the Annabelle doll alone??? I think the original is infinitely scarier than the revamp.

It is 2025 and I watched this for the first time. It holds up. Brilliant.

Can't really talk about this movie from a serious perspective. Me and my friends watched it at like 1 AM, since we like to give us a scare from time to time. I mean, the environment wasn't great for me to get scared at the movie. It wasn't as scary as I expected, yet it still had a nice story and some very great jumpscares. I haven't watched any other The Conjuring movies, so I thought this was a good idea and it was well done. The characters really stay with you the whole (nearly) two hours. The scariest part was the "based on a true story" thing, it creeped us out!

The film has a very compelling tension and you are hooked every minute waiting for something to happen. Although the film has some trouble in unfolding a single story, it is still great overall.

Hands down one of the most iconic and surprisingly terrifying horror movies to date, "The Conjuring" blends excellent world building, an incredible story, great performances, and a horrific atmosphere throughout. Absolutely worth a watch.

The Conjuring has my deepest respect for reinvigorating the horror genre yet it falls flat compared to other flicks.
