Gone in the Night

A mindful tourist trap with a struggling hook that relies on its nonlinear structure to justify how uneventful it turns out, even when brewing mysteriously only to find out it’s implausibly twisted and performatively sums unpleasantly. (C-)

I don't understand people who said there was a plot twist or something they didn't see coming. I give credit to whoever cut the trailer - that person did a masterful job making me feel this movie would be suspenseful. It is not. There is only one plot point that perhaps was surprising involving the boyfriend and how his involvement began. Besides that, this was so flat. It felt like each individual actor met the expectations of the casting - but the story is just stupid. Never mind that it's all been done before - that I don't mind so much. But something about this movie is so flat. Don't waste your time.

Irregular structure persistent throughout, gives away too much too soon, seemed rushed.

This is my first rotten tomatoes review. This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I actually finished the movie, and immediately made a Rotten Tomatoes account just to tell the world how bad this movie was.

This movie was absolutely terrible. Winona Ryders acting was awful. The female lead she is playing seems like a complete idiot and air head. It's so annoying how slow her reactions and responses are. Is there something wrong with her? She is so blank and looks like a deer caught in the head lights.

You could tell from the start what the twist was going to be and the ending was dumb and the acting was bad

the inane script has questionable logic.

Cumple, es una de esas películas para pasar el rato sin esperar mucho. Es de paso lento pero en este caso las actuaciones de todo el elenco la salvan y logran que no se vuelva monótona o aburrida. Tal vez me hubiese gustado mucho mas si uno de los pocos giros argumentales que tiene no me hubiese resultado tan predecible.

Wouldn't consider it to be a thriller. Rated PG if anything, nothing rated R about this movie. Would not recommend anyone sitting through this movie.
