The Darkness within La Luz del Mundo

This is a very difficult documentary to watch, and the creators don't use cheap tricks to make it what it is – the subject matter itself is just so difficult to sit through, letting the victims speak their truths was the right choice to make here.

The Darkness within La Luz del Mundo isn’t the most narratively concise documentary, but it resourcefully pieces together a profoundly disturbing story of ego, power, manipulation and victimization.

For two hours, the documentary has a consistent pace, and without the use of dramatic, upbeat music or flashing images, you can really focus on the victims and their stories.
