It keeps you wondering what fate will befall these intertwined figures who live seemingly to cheat death, and it manages to celebrate the depths to which they pursued their shared obsession.

Distinguishes itself through its amazing underwater footage.

"The Deepest Breath" offers an intimate entrée into an obscure sport and the intense personalities who partake in it.

The Deepest Breath capitalizes on that very spectacle—being exposed to death and conquering it—and banks on using archival footage of world records and training.

Alas, such a strong start doesn’t save The Deepest Breath from its manipulative narrative structure and exposition-heavy beginning.
