The Disappearance of Shere Hite

I cannot recommend The Disappearance of Shere Hite enough! It's disturbing, infuriating and true. It's happening to women all over again right now.

She was beyond ahead of time, or...? Surprised and wondered that how media had/has been influential to our society...

This was a really really good film, close to great. The editing the pacing were as delicate and yet sturdy as the subject herself. So much about her and that era in the women's movement I didn't know about. All revealed through spot-on storytelling. Great job!

Amazing! Ms. Hite was a highly intelligent woman! Shame on those who belittled her. Please watch this documentary and learn important history. Highly, highly recommended!

Captivating subject matter. Good doc, but not what I expected being told this was a must watch.

It was a really good movie. Very instructive. I really liked it. I will watch it again later.Also, I really like the small details of the movie.

This is a perfect movie

A sharp documentary on the smart, brave, beautiful author of The Hite Report, Shere Hite, exploring a vital subject: female sexuality. This film deserves attention but unfortunately its limited screenings and modest promotion echoes her past silencing. Kudos to IFC for showcasing this significant film! People, watch it and promote it!
