I love Richard Gere and there is skilled direction here. However, just too disturbing of content to recommend film.

A brutal story about those who are sick & agressive, and those who try to keep the aforementioned in check.

Great acting by Richard Gere. Tough subject. They pulled it off: realistic. (NO VIEWERS UNDER 30.)

The title of this film refers to registered sex offenders, whom social worker Erroll Babbage (Richard Gere) keeps track of and investigates. He's a rogue who is working his notice, since he's been fired for his over-the-top tactics. Sound like an episode of "Law and Order SVU"? It's pretty close, except for profanity and nudity that you wouldn't have on network TV. Babbage is training his replacement, Allison Lowry (Claire Danes), a newcomer who really doesn't have the stomach for this kind of work. Sound familiar? It's been done in a dozen "cop and rookie" movies. So "The Flock" is trite, as well as tawdry. The bad guy is a sadistic rapist whose crimes are stomach-turning. But as the good guy, Gere does his best to elevate his role above the level of stereotype. He does chew some scenery, but he also exhibits some nuance at times. Danes, on the other hand, is little more than a plot device. She gets hysterical and cries a lot. Of course, in this kind of film, we want to see the good guys nail the bad guys. I won't go into detail, but there's enough suspense to hold your interest. Aside from the unnecessarily showy camera work (Have directors forgotten how to hold a camera still?), this is a decent B thriller, worth a watch for Gere's performance. He's gotten better with age.

It was just ok. I was hoping for the movie to have really smart detective work, but it didn't. It also really lacked action, despite being listed under Action & Adventure.

I really enjoyed the picture, it shows around the real face of the "flock" we are living in.

Sick.....and not in a good way.

Pretty good a bit slow in the beginning, not sure why Gere keeps touching the evidence either

great performance from Danes and gere but a somewhat far fetched plot full of holes. relies too much on Gore and sadism.

The director of "Raped by an Angel" and the "Naked Killer" comes with a decent flick about sex offenders with a good story . Only too bad Avril Lavigne gets killed off screen.
