The Founder
audience Reviews
, 82% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsnot a terrible film, but I'm not sure who I'm meant to root for, made me seriously consider stopping getting McDonald's just for what they did to the original founders
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI liked it it had good acting and was incredible because of the casting I loved it watch it
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA good solid film. There's one in Gozo. I ordered a Quarter Pounder, fries and a tea. It didn't take long. My number came up and I took them to the park where I also feed stray cats. I opened up the bag and there were chicken nuggets fit for a child but not for an adult. I've never been back.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe Founder is an engaging and thought-provoking movie that offers an in-depth look at the cutthroat world of business and entrepreneurship. Michael Keaton’s magnetic performance is the driving force behind the film, and while it could have benefited from a deeper exploration of certain characters and themes, it remains an entertaining and informative watch. Whether you love or loathe Ray Kroc, the movie presents an interesting case study in ambition, success, and the cost of achieving the American Dream.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI liked it because it doesn't focus only on one side of the story, but you can really feel the reasons of both. Worth a watch!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsExcellent film about greed and blind ambition, well acted a must watch
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsBeen meaning to watch this for a long while and it didn't disappoint. Much sadder story than I imagined it would be.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsLays out how McDonaldization of society got started.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe film leads the audience from somewhat sympathising with the lead to despising him by the credits. Not only does the film spark interest, but truly invests the viewer, with exceptional performances and pacing. The film can only be faulted for how mistreated more likeable characters are in the plot, and how frustrating the result of this can be.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars"The Founder" is a compelling film that chronicles the rise of the McDonald’s empire. Featuring Michael Keaton in the lead role, the movie delves into the complex journey of its protagonist as he navigates the restaurant industry to establish a thriving chain aligned with his vision of fast food. The narrative showcases Keaton's character as he cleverly manipulates the original concept of McDonald’s, which was founded by the McDonald brothers, who envisioned a clean and family-friendly dining experience. However, as Keaton's character expands the franchise, the essence of the original vision becomes distorted, transforming McDonald’s into a global sensation that sometimes sacrifices cleanliness and quality for profit. Overall, I found "The Founder" to be an engaging business film that offers valuable insights into the history of one of the most recognizable brands in the world. It’s an entertaining watch and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone interested in the intricacies of business development and entrepreneurship.
