Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Super recomendo. O filme começa quando encontram o corpo da filha do general morta no quartel. Onde ela estava amarrada e nua. Com suspeita de ter sido estuprada, porem isso não ocorreu. E Paul (Travolta) e Sara (Stowe) são chamados para desvendar todo o caso, antes que o FBI assuma a investigação, para isso eles tem 3 dias. E quanto mais Paul investiga, mais sujeira vai aparecendo. Descobre que Elizabeth (Stefanson) era uma mulher exemplar em todos os sentidos, tanto academico como uma soldada. Que muitos homens tinham inveja dela. Até um dia fatidico que ela é estuprada por soldados e que seu pai não fez nada por causa da sua carreira. Depois disso ela se transforma em uma outra mulher onde se relaciona com todos soldados e homens. Além de fazer sexo sadomasoquista, tudo com a intenção de seu pai reconhecer e se arrepender. O filme leva a suspeita de uma pessoas e de vários motivos, mas quando é revelado quem é e o motivo tão banal que o filme se perde. Uma pena, pois se o final tivesse mas senso, teria um outro resultado. Vale apena assistir? sim. Nota: 6,5

This film is a perfect example of why critics can be a source to help round out decisions, but ultimately, use your judgement. This film is a masterpiece. Outstanding writing and performances from start to finish. 10/10. So happy it went on sale today. Wondering if, far too often, paid critics are given marching orders by their paymasters.

There were several changes from the novel to squish it into 2 hours, and it wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great. Much of the acting seemed perfunctory; it didn’t grab me and pull me in. The relationship between the daughter and the general was core to the whole thing, and it didn’t pop the way it should have. Travolta was fine, but the character of his partner Sunhill was weak; the two are supposed to have chemistry but it wasn’t showing. Nelson deMille, the author, at least got something that resembled his novel; that’s rare.

Best John Travolta movie!

Woefully criticized by haters. I thought it was a tremendous film with plenty of tricks and turns and ingenious moves to trap the guilty using fake evidence and the threat of DNA. Plenty of prospective villians and the only fault I found was poor audio making some lines difficult to get their full intention.

I disagree with panning critics' nitpicking. It was a well-made movie about a murder, and there was a surprise ending --- something that seems for some reason unpopular with critics. The African folk song at the outset is captivating, and the southern Spanish moss helped provide verisimilitude. I noted that half the audience liked it while a quarter of the critics did. Why the discrpency?

Watch it…. you'll enjoy it although if you're not overly sensitive to some content…. Justice will prevail and remember it's not over until the credits roll.

The betrayal of the daughter by her father made me sick. I have a daughter. Had to turn the movie off.
