- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat movie, ignore the low ratings, this was actually fantastic.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe Greatest Beer Run Ever is an amazing movie that tells a wild, almost unbelievable true story. Chickie’s idea to personally deliver beer to his friends in Vietnam is reckless, naive, and downright stupid but that’s exactly what makes this film so entertaining. What starts as a lighthearted, booze fueled adventure quickly turns into something much deeper, as Chickie witnesses the harsh realities of war firsthand. Zac Efron gives a great performance, making Chickie both charming and frustrating, while the film balances humor, drama, and emotional weight perfectly. The cinematography and action sequences bring the war torn setting to life, and the story keeps you engaged from start to finish. While the premise may sound absurd, the movie delivers a surprisingly heartfelt and eye opening message about friendship, patriotism, and the cost of war. This is a must watch funny, intense, and unexpectedly moving.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe improbable story about Chickie Donahue's naive trip to Vietnam to deliver beers to his buddies in a war zone, this film passes my main test. It is enjoyable to watch. Knowing it is based on a true story makes it all the more interesting. It isn't a deep war movie, but focuses on Chickie's experiences. A good popcorn flick.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsIt tells a good story about war with some comedic moments. The actors are amazing and the fact this is a true story is facinating. Definetly would recommend!
