I was a headhunter for 30 years. I worked my way up from a desk to partner But breaking away to start my own small firm allowed me to work and live like the Gerard Butler headhunter at the end of the movie. Amazingly accurate portrayal of the details of the profession. Beautiful sympathetic portrayal of Chicago,s miracle Mile, and their historic buildings. Great story of how difficult AND rewarding family life is. Classic portrayal of --Every family has challenges but you only have one family. What goes around comes around. Anazingly believable actors. We need more movies like this. Uplifting after a struggle!

Very good movie and it will take you on an emotional roller coaster. I watched this with my wife and it definitely is a must see. You will not regret watching it!

Bad in every sense of the word. Butler can be appealing, but this was so mishandled that it effectively became a very bad Lifetime movie.

Gerard Butler is a likable actor, but that is not enough to overcome the fact that the main character is just a jerk who is willing to profit off of actively sabotaging others, over and over again. The redemption story is too little too late.

Syrupy, melodramatic tripe that should've been a Hallmark movie.

Provokes some emotion and watchable but formulaic, overly sentimental, and riddled with scumbag characters. The plot was nothing new, there were unnecessary scenes, the headhunting/company bits felt ridiculous, and the miraculous recovery came across as unlikely. The main character was disrespectful and unlikeable in way that can't be forgiven over the character arc, so I have no idea what the wife and kids saw in him. Then the kid seemed a little too interested in facts about buildings for his age, the wife couldn't manage to stop herself swearing at some school children, and the employees at the company were nearly as bad as the main character. The pacing could have been better as portions did feel repetitious, the acting was average at best, and the soundtrack was unnoticeable, but the cinematography, visual effects, sets/props/costumes were all fine.

I thought it was ok overall as the story was nice and had some touching moments, but the delivery seemed off at times.
