Ian McShane is remarkable for his age. This film however, is unremarkable. Plot is all over the place, and the storyline is difficult to follow as it jumps around like a demented flea. Wish I hadn't bothered...

Based on the trailer it looked good, but I'd lost interest about half way through. The plot meanders and the directing seems a bit eccentric, perhaps trying to be stylish and noir but not pulling it off.

This is a very good movie, never boring and not a lot talking (which sometimes can be senseless). The problem is some critics are looking for the next "great movie". It's not this, it's not that. Just watch the damn movie and when you get to the end you will say that was a pretty good movie. Is it " The Godfather" no is it "Chinatown" close to that burn but it is its own movie! Enjoy, you won't regret it.

I absolutely loved this movie. Ian McShane & Patrick Wilson are phenomenal. I've seen alot of documentarys & I do mean alot of documentrys on drug cartels in Mexico & when I was younger (25 years ago) I used to run with people who went to drug deals & this movie got it pretty good. I liked it because even if you kill the hit man coming for you, then another will come, then another etc. Once the cartel puts you on that list, this evil list. It's over. They will hunt you to the end of time & have the money & resources to do it.

    Awesome action and good technology

The two stars provide more than the script deserved.

The plot is all over the place with no direction

The plot is all over the place and too complicated without ever following a clear direction and the acting wasn't good especially from Patrick Wilson whom I admire.

The hollow point features a great cast some good cinematography but the directing falls flat. The pacing is pretty poor and the movie veers all over the place. Characterization is not very good and the movie just isn’t very memorable with any surprises. I think a more experienced director should’ve taken on this work.
